Suckers are certainly adept at what they do. they supported Local Natives all across the US recently, and are playing shows with Passion Pit and Menomena soon. No European dates as of yet however.

Hailing from Brooklyn (yeah, i have not heard of many bands making it out of there either), Quinn Walker, Austin Fisher, Pan and Brian Aiken formed Suckers and in just released album Wild Smile, have created a mix of the yelps of Modest Mouse and thrown it in the folk blender, as it were. Every song on the lp sounds unique, and there are not many full releases you can say that about.

It is such an uplifting sound that Suckers have made. Just in time for the summer as well. Here’s hoping to catch them on this side of the Atlantic soon.

In the meantime, you can stream the whole of Wild Smile below (ah, the joys of the internet). There are some live videos below that aswell. And if that is not enough for you, head over to the fantastic Frenchkiss label for a wonderful collection of bands to slather over.
