I willl be honest: I was one of those people who thought that MGMT’s second album was a pile of rubbish. It was bloated and pretencious. Or so I thought.

The singles, despite initially suggesting they would not be releasing any off the album, suggested that there were a few tunes in there. Also, I didn’t have a problem with it not being the first album, simply because bar ‘Time To Pretend’ and ‘Kids’, I didn’t think there was anything astounding on that album. So I didn’t have high hopes for Congratulations.

Having played tons of sold out shows around the world, the fans have definitely stuck around for them. They played Jimmy Kimmel Live yesterday, performing the title track and ‘The Handshake’. Enjoy the videos below.
