Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs make electronic music that would put the fear into Hot Chip. There are plenty of remixes from the band already floating around the internet (here, for example) and the track below, ‘Household Goods’, is both a banging club tune, as well as a Sunday morning record to ease you into the day. A rare feat, some may say. Listen to the ‘Household Goods’ below, and the band’s first ep

Here is the band’s All In Two Sixty Dancehalls EP.

My favourite new New Zealand band right now are The Naked And Famous who have featured elsewhere on the blog. Chiddy Band have got their hands on the band’s wonderful number one single (in NZ) ‘Young Blood’. They make it into even more of a party record with a great rap in the middle.

Casette Jam sound so familiar but then hit you with something so fresh, it takes the rest of the track to recover. Below is ‘Speed Of Light’, accompanied by a gravity-defying video. There is loads more over at their website, where it is difficult to find out names of tracks, but you won’t want to even consider looking for the stop button. Seriously, check it out.

I would like to tell you a bit more about SBTRKT, but er, there is not much I can tell you really. He wears a tribal mask when he djs, and is from London. Go here for a bit more info on the man who would be Daft Punk, Deadmau5 etc. Listen to ‘Hide And Seek’ below.

One more thumping song for you here. Wolfgang Gartner – ‘Illmerica’, probably the biggest dance track you haven’t heard yet. It should be everywhere. It isn’t yet. Instant replay value, and a thumping bass line. The 3.05 mark is one of the best things you will ever hear. Fact.
