Later With Jools Holland really upped the game this week, with Kings Of Leon, MIA, Eric Clapton, and The Vaccines. the recently-announced headliners for Slane Castle at the end of May played two tracks from their recent Come Around Sundown album, ‘Pyro’, and ‘Radioactive’. They have trotted these two tracks out on all the late-night tv slots over the past month, so it is safe to assume what the second single will be. By the way, it sounds massive.

The Vaccines also put on one of the greatest 90 seconds of live music you are likely to see on the show, playing ‘Wreckin’ Ball (Ra Ra Ra)’, and leaving jaws on the floor. The hype might well be justified.

Eric Clapton also got in two tracks on the half-hour live show, ‘Travelling Alone’, and ‘When Someone Thinks You’re Wonderful’, which sounds like it would make for a perfect Disney soundtrack, a cover of a Fats Waller song.

MIA also played on the show, with some members of The Specials no less. ‘It Takes A Muscle’ is the video right down the bottom of the pile. Enjoy it all, and expect some more over the weekend.
