Is it Friendly Fires? Is it Delphic? Is it…. Ah you get the picture.

Gold Fields do the dancier side of indie rock. D├ębut single ‘Treehouse’ is very remeniscient of ‘Kiss Of Life’ by the wonderful Friendly Fires, and in absolutely no way is that a bad thing. The band are from Australia and are over in England supporting the brilliant Naked And Famous. And considering it was recorded in a bedroom, it sounds like it was made for the dancefloor.

‘Do you know how far we are from the moon?’ the chorus goes, before the track truly transcends the world for the last 45 seconds and takes us somewhere you will not want to come back from. Need another reason to listen to the Gold Fields? They are supporting Crystal Castles next year (in Australia).
