The wonderful Skinny Wolves label, which is hoem to Patrick Kelleher (whom the Guardian is just trying to get their head around) and Cap Pas Cap, are gearing up to release the third album by Somadrone.

Depth of Field is out next Friday, December 3 on vinyl, download, and best of all, cassette. And though he may be one fifth of Redneck Manifesto, Somadrone could not sound any different to them. Everything on the album is sparse, and arrives just in time to soundtrack the long, dark, freezing night of winter.

All of this is reflected in the video for ‘Providence’, directed by Eoghan Kidney (who is fresh from shooting Shit Robot’s video in New York) and the opening track from Depth Of Field Vapours, which you can listen to below. In a great year for albums, get ready to add one more to the list.

You can preorder the album here, and you can also catch Somadrone on tour a week before Christmas.
