Teen Daze are not a new band, having been releasing songs for well over a year, and getting a great Pitchfork review for their début ep, Four More Years back in August. But they kind of got lost (for me, at least) under the amount of chillwave bands that hit the internet this summer, most obviously, Tennis.

But now it is winter and the chillers have gone into hibernation (I assume) and Teen Daze have/has just put out a wonderful new ep, Beach Dreams. Let Teen Daze (one man, in his bedroom) explain where this ep came from: “I really came to fall in love with the whole lo-fi pop scene this summer, and I wanted to see what I could come up with. After writing “Let’s Fall Asleep Together”, the last three just sort of happened in the span of a few days.

“I know that it’s starting to get cold, and that carefree love songs about beach life may seem out of context, but I hope that you guys can look back on your past summer, and let these songs remind you of some of the good experiences you had!”

It is a perfect four-tracks long, and really does make you long for June again. Listen below, and download for a price of your choosing over at Bandcamp.
