Bombay Bicycle Club are a band who seem like they’ve been around forever, at least for those of us who read NME back in 2007, which, in fact, is only four years ago. Okay, okay, wait, they’re a band who, when I first heard them, I didn’t think we would hear much more of. Then their debut album was full of songs that rewarded on repeat listens. Then they did an acoustic album showcasing their songwriting ability and now, they are set to release their third album A Different Kind Of Fix. The first song to be taken from said album is ‘Shuffle’, which might just be the most infectious track of 2011. It’s built around a really familiar piano line and is just so chirpy and summery that you won’t be able to resist. And Jack Steadman sounds like he’s finally reined in his drippy vocals. The new album is out in August. And could be amazing.
