Every blogger’s dream has surely come through now that James Blake and Bon Iver have collaborated on a track. It started with a tweet, it’s come to ‘Fall Creek Boys Choir’ and in October we could be looking at more than just the one track from the pair, with Enough Thunder slated for then. But what is it? It’s listed on James Blake’s Youtube page below the video, but no details are given, though Pitchfork says it is the name of a song that Blake has been playing live recently. Anyway, the song. ‘Fall Creek Boys Choir’ is exactly what I wanted from this collaboration. It sounds like it could slot perfectly into Blake’s debut album. So is he the mastermind behind it more so than Bon Iver headhoncho Justin Vernon? Well, we all know how much Vernon likes to whip out the autotuneKanye West does anyway. Oh and you might think that it’s a dog barking once you start listening hard enough – It’s not, as Blake cleared it up for everyone by tweeting this video. The track was recorded over email after the pair met at SXSW. Expect more later in the year. Hope for more.
