Coming off like a more heartfelt Frightened Rabbit (if that’s possible), Admiral Fallow’s ‘Beetle In The Box’ will melt your heart. The Glasgow five-piece are already one album deep and in May, release Tree Bursts In Snow, off which ‘Beetle In The Box’ is taken. You could mark Admiral Fallow down as one of those ‘literate bands’ because their lyrics seem like they’ve been agonised over for a while. For example, my favourite line from the song: “I eat your words and you mark my mistakes, we set the dictionary up to fail.” Listen to ‘Beetle In The Box’ below, via the excellent Breaking More Waves, and download the track at Admiral Fallow’s site.
