Always nice revisiting Slow Place Like Home. Here’s a great video for ‘There Go The Lights Again’, taken from the Donegal artist’s most recent EP of the same name. A slow burning track, the accompanying visuals were created by Jules Hackett and suit the song rather nicely. It’s quite an eerie video too, like watching a cult taking action – what will they do next. Hackett says: “From Parnell Sq (outside Hugh Lane Gallery) to Dollymount Strand, Dublin. Featuring Julian Opie’s ‘Suzanne Walking In Leather Skirt’ 2006. For the past few years, Suzanne has been walking on the same spot in Dublin. 24 hours a day, everyday. In the dead of night, I felt it was only right to send her (and companions) on a journey.” Keith, the man behind Slow Place Like Home says of the video: “This is a little piece of perfection for the tune. I was very taken aback when I watched it for the first time.” Listen to the EP There Go The Lights Again after the jump.
