Despite the metal name, Fear Stalks The Land don’t go near that genre, instead leaning towards the likes of Grandaddy. Opener ‘Dance Like A Skeleton’ feels like the grandchild of ‘AM 180’, but the following three songs go deeper, with the subtleties of ‘Earface’ particularly engrossing. Fear Stalks The Land have released a number of EPs over the last two years, all of which are available on Bandcamp, but Myra seems like a big step forward. Shut your eyes and the title-track and closer could be by Sigur Ros.
