What I like most about this, the first single from Dublin band the #1s (the Number Ones or the Hashtag Ones; whatever you prefer), is that as soon as you get really into each track, it cuts out. Neither ‘I Wish I Was Lonely’ or ‘He’s Too Good For Everyone Else But He’s Not Good Enough For You’ outstay their welcome – heck, by the time you just say the whole title of the latter song, it’s over. It’s coming out on 7″ on Cork-based indie label Art for Blind. The #1s are their first Irish release of the year, and their fifth overall. You can pre-order the single here, and expect a few Irish dates from the #1s in the next month or two. Also, yes, you’re right it does sound like the Cribs – but when was that a bad thing!?
