The Point Of Everything Music Blog: For The Best New Music In Ireland And Further Afield

This is such a cool video. Waterford’s the Casanova Wave has been making pretty cool videos for a while now, but ‘How The Beat Was Tempered’ might top the lot. It was createdby Simon Donnelly and Jacob Stack, graduates of the Limerick School of Art and Design. At first I thought it was going to be a parody of Dastardly and Muttley – you know, catch the pigeon. It’s not. We follow a white paper dove as he flies around a cardboard city. It’s hard not to be impressed by the amount of work that must have gone into it. I doubt this will be the last video Donnelly and Stack are asked to make. ‘How The Beat Was Tempered’ features on the Casanova Waves’ debut album Joy of Being, which you can listen to and download here.
