solar bears cover supermigration

Solar Bears finally release their second album, Supermigration , on April 12. It seems like an age since their debut arrived so fully formed. It’s been about three years and if you haven’t heard She Was Coloured In yet, rectify the situation now via Spotify. The forthcoming release has already had some love from Resident Advisor and the Fader: “John Kowalski and Rian Trench keep things grounded in a krauty, repetitious sound palette, but there‚Äôs something about the higher production values and romantic turns of melody that make this feel like music for the screen.” So big things might well be expected. If you’ve seen them play live – a seldom sight – you’ll know that Solar Bears are special. You can watch a trailer for the album below, made by by Michael Robinson. You can listen to mostly 90-second previews of Supermigration over at Planet Mu’s site, where you can also preorder the album in a number of formats. The track that has me most excited is ‘The Girl That Played With Light’. Can’t wait to hear more. You can also see the duo’s performance for the Boiler Room from last summer after the jump.
