Lowmountain DNA cover

Here’s a ridiculously gorgeous track from LOWmountain‘s just released second album DNA. If you’ve ever spend some time in De Barra’s in Clonakilty you’ll have come across the name. They’re regulars there, honing their craft on the folk club stage for about three years now. ‘Love Is In The Detail’ is exactly how you might think, a slowburning track where voices reverberate around a gentle acoustic guitar. The three piece recorded the album between January 2011 and January of this year. From the press release: “The band feels that it offers a refined, accurate and ultimately very cohesive collection of music that represents who they have become – not just as individual writers, but also as a musical collective – recognising that LOWmountain as a whole is far greater than the sum of its individual members. As music for DNA emerged over time, it seems – by happenstance more than design – that each member of the band was in their own way exploring different elements of love, loss and the everyday realities of life. The result is a heartfelt, contemplative record that aims to be as cathartic for the listener as it has been for LOWmountain to make.” You can read about the album launch at the end of March at We Are Noise. Lowmountain play Coughlan’s in Cork City tomorrow night, Thursday. A few more tour dates around the country after the jump.
