Dublin trio the Dudley Corporation release their fourth album on May 11, and their first in almost five years, and below is the nearly five-minute title track and album closer ‘Everyone Does Everything Wrong Part II’. It’s the longest song on the album – by about a minute – but it’s one that you won’t want to end. It’s been a month since we had our first taster of the album, ‘Grey Lights‘, and this one continues to keep its foot on the accelerator. In the interim, they released a double-A-side single in the shape of love heart sweets – the track was called ‘The Power of Love’. ‘Everyone Does Everything Wrong Part II’ sees Dudley asking, “will you wake up with magic in your heart” before adding that “I’ve yet to see anything less than joy in you”. But just when everything seems to be going right, well, there’s that caveat, “Everyone does everything wrong.” And then there’s three minutes of a guitar being straddled in about 10 different ways, all of which sound wonderful.

Talking about the album, Dudley said: “The bugger took us years and contains 13 rocking songs and no slow ones. Well, maybe half a slow one. Download and vinyl available from gigs, shops, and Bandcamp. Artwork is by M&E, mastered by Stephen Quinn. Actually, we copied Tieranniesaur so directly that we’re using the same pressing plant too. Don’t get too drunk at their yoke the night before our launch, y’buggers!” The Dudley Corporation are heading out on tour in support of the album’s release – the dates are after the jump. Harmless Noise will be streaming the album in full on Tuesday, I believe, so keep an eye out for that!
