I can’t get over how much fun Cork producer Colm K‘s The Love EP is. He’s been around for ages, and anybody who even occasionally ventures to gigs in Cork has probably seen and/or heard him. The EP is released on 12″ on the Bastard Jazz label and just sounds like it’s made to be played at that part of the night when everybody is reaching for the next level. Just try to resist the confident vibes that exude throughout the four tracks, which clock in at just over 17 minutes. Opening track ‘The Attic, featuring Walshy, is the right side of ridiculous, and will sound so good in clubs. ‘Good Fridays’ is the smoothest of the four tracks but all of them will leave you wanting more. Colm K launches the EP in Gulpd on Saturday night from 9pm, with Stevie G, Fluky and the Sumday Times DJs ensuring there won’t be a still leg in the house. The poster for that gig is below, after the jump. For those of you can’t make it on Saturday, he’s also supporting Onra in the Pavilion tomorrow night, Friday, June 14. Tickets are €10 before midnight, and €12 afterwards. You can buy the EP online here, though might be a better, cheaper option to pick it up at the shows or in Plugd.
