I featured Race The Flux on the blog back in April, when they released ‘I Am Animation’, an exhilarating six minutes of punchy rock. Things don’t get much shorter on ‘Siren’, but the band keep them just as exciting. The Galway four piece take their time getting into the track, creating a System of a Down styled atmosphere over the first 60 seconds before it breaks into a chugging monster. And listen to that guitar riff! ‘Siren’ is taken from Race The Flux’s debut album, the eight-track Dutch Buffalo, which will be up on their Bandcamp page on Thursday, June 20. They got some help with it thanks to a Fund It campaign – 113% complete, which is pretty good. There are also a few tour dates to coincide with the release, including a gig in Cork on Saturday, June 29. You can see all the dates after the jump.

Race The Flux tour dates:
Twisted Pepper, Dublin, June 20;
Dolan’s Upstairs, Limerick, June 21;
Bradley’s, Cork, June 29;
The Cellar, Galway (Citog), July 3.
