Sad news on this fine Friday evening: Cork band Time is a Thief have decided to call it a day. Per their Facebook page:
“It is with heavy hearts we must announce today that Time Is A Thief is no more. We’ve been struggling with this decision for some time now but for personal reasons we won’t go into, we have decided to call it a day. We’ve had an incredible time these last few years, met some amazing people and got to play with some of our heroes. It may not have always been an easy ride, but it was always worth it. Although we’re bummed it’s come to this, we want to thank you all for supporting us in our journey. We would have never made it this far without all you guys.
Adam, Murf, Jimmy and Jeff”
Sad news indeed. I really enjoyed their last single, ‘Years in a Second’, from earlier this year and was looking forward to the new sound they seemed to be developing following their debut album We’re Not Strangers. Admittedly it had been a while since I last heard from them but still, sad news. Brid has a couple of great sets of TIAT here, which includes that picture above. As you can see, they were a pretty fierce live band. Take a listen to their music below, and buy it here.
