We got to hear ‘Hunter And The Headman’ last week and now we get to see the Shaker Hymn in action performing it live in Connolly’s of Leap (in west Cork). It was recorded by Feel Good Lost, who are just off one of their most successful shoots, making the video for Hozier’s ‘Take Me To The Church’. Things in Connolly’s don’t get quite as dramatic as that, but it lets you focus on just how intense the song can get, with Caoilian Sherlock’s vocals more strained than I remember. ‘Hunter And The Headman’ is taken from the Shaker Hymn’s debut album Rascal’s Antique, out in January. You can preorder the single on iTunes here – it’s out October 25. The Shaker Hymn are touring next month – all dates after the jump.
