I’ve been a fan of Bouts for a long time now, so as they gear up to release their debut album, I’m delighted to announce two Cork shows. The four piece release Nothing Good Gets Away on October 25, launching the gig with a show in the Grand Social the next night (Facebook event page here). They’ll be in Cork for the last two dates on the tour, De Barra’s in Clonakilty (my favourite venue in the country) on Friday, November 8, and Mr Bradley’s in the city the following night, Saturday, November 9. Elastic Sleep, my favourite new band of the year, will be supporting in De Barra’s, which is a free gig, and Bantum – from Bandon, Co Cork, but living in Dublin – will be supporting Bouts in Mr Bradley’s. Tickets for that gig will be €5. I’m looking forward to putting on the shows, something that I haven’t done in over a year. I’ll have another big gig announcement later this week, all going well, and will hopefully be putting on some cool shows throughout next year, too. As long as these Bouts ones go well, I guess. You can listen to two tracks from Nothing Good Gets Away below, while under that is the special poster for the Cork gigs (red = Cork) as well as Bouts’ Irish tour schedule.
