‘Red Dust’ is the second in a trilogy of videos by Aoife McArdle for James Vincent McMorrow. After the self-destruction of ‘Cavalier‘ we are offered a rebirth revolving around the refrain: “Sometimes my hands they don’t feel like my own, I need someone to love I need someone to hold.” It’s still as grim as the first video, but offers a little more hope than someone bleeding at the back of the bus – and there are fish! It’s taken from McMorrow’s second album Post Tropical, out in Ireland on January 10.
