Having raised the cash through a successful Fund It campaign towards the end of last year, Meltybrains? are off to the US today for a month-long tour, taking in San Diego, Nashville and Cincinnati. As they got set to jet off, they yesterday unveiled a new song and video, ‘Green, Yellow & Purple’. More than 10 minutes long, it showcases their post-rock tendencies. The first half of the track revolves around the rather threatening, Vocodered sentiment, “How do you like my face now, when my face is in this place now?” And from there things get a little darker. The video was made with ink, water and a fish tank by Louise Gaffney (who plays with Come On Live Long). The live visuals were recorded by Slipdraft in the Block B warehouse in Dublin. If you’re not already caught up with Meltybrains? there is lots more music available over at their Bandcamp page.
