Brooklyn band San Fermin made one of my favourite albums of last year with their self-titled debut. Mixing straight-laced National-style vocals with St Vincent histrionics, it’s a stunning, exciting hour of music. Last week, they announced a European tour for April, including a date in Whelan’s in Dublin on April 16. Now, they’ve announced that they’ll be playing Cork the night before, filling the stage at the Pavilion on Tuesday, April 15. Presented by the Pavilion, in association with Feel Good Lost, tickets for the show are €12 plus booking fees. It’s going to be very special. A couple of days before that, on Saturday, April 12, the Pavilion plays host to Newcastle band Lanterns on the Lake. Similarly epic, the five piece released Until The Colours Run on Bella Union last year. Tickets for that show are €10. Both gigs are onsale now, with tickets available at the Pavilion website.
