Halves released their excellent second album Boa Howl last year. Though they’ve gone to ground in the live stakes (they’re playing possibly their only headline show of the year at the Workman’s Club in June), Halves have just unveiled an outtake from the album sessions in Svenska Grammofon Studion, Sweden. The instrumental ‘Ink & Ice’ glides around for nearly five minutes showcasing its beauty. It’s what Halves specialise in, crafting these expansive worlds where the listener can look around and discover something new at every turn. ‘Ink & Ice’ sounds like it would fit in perfectly on a Legend of Zelda game.
