Dublin-based five-piece the North Sea are readying to finally release their debut album, having formed in 2010. They released a self-titled EP in 2012 but since then there has been much to report bar a couple live dates. But ‘In Love’ is our first taste of their forthcoming album which is slated for release in the spring. Think a more restrained Spies, one influenced by the subtler parts of Editors rather than the verbose tendencies of the National. “Moving slowly I don’t know what to say love, it only hurts when you’re young,” Eoin Kenny philosophises, speaking to a thousand tortured souls. The video was shot by Second Frame, which has also made videos for Spies, coincidentally, and it was directed by Niall Conroy and Daniel Kennedy. ‘In Love’ is released on September 26.
