I’ve been waiting ages for Liza Flume to release new music. After a couple of live shows over the summer, the Dublin-based Australian has unveiled the delicate ‘Sleepless Nights’. Produced by Brian Dillon of Meltybrains, who has been playing with Flume at the live shows, it’s a sparse recording that captures the atmosphere of sleeping alone “in a big old house and it creaks all night long and it creeps me out”. Flume says: “I wrote this track whilst living in my grandfather’s old house last summer, on my own in the North of Dublin.” ‘Sleepless Nights’ is the first single off Liza Flume’s forthcoming EP, due out on Toast Office Records. She plays Meeting House Square at 10.30pm tomorrow as part of Hard Working Class Heroes.
